Server log data.
Our host records the usual technical data when a page is requested: IP address, date and time, the page requested, the referring page, and browser and operating system identifiers. We use it to deliver the site and to keep it secure and available. The legal basis is our legitimate interest under Article 6(1)(f). Log data is kept only as long as it is needed for those purposes.
When you write to us.
If you email one of our offices, we process your address, your message and anything you choose to include, in order to answer you and to assess a possible engagement. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) for steps taken before a contract, and otherwise Article 6(1)(f). We keep correspondence for as long as the matter is live and thereafter for the periods commercial and tax law require.
This site publishes no contact form. Email is the only channel, so nothing is collected from you unless you write.
Cookies, analytics and third parties.
This site sets no tracking cookies and runs no analytics or advertising technology. Typefaces are served from our own application rather than from an external font service, so visiting the site does not disclose your address to a third-party provider. No maps, videos or social media widgets are embedded.
Transfers to Ghana.
Our head office is in Accra, so correspondence you send us is read by colleagues in Ghana. Ghana is not covered by an EU adequacy decision, which makes this a third-country transfer. We rely on the safeguards required under Chapter V of the Regulation; write to us if you would like the current details.
Your rights.
You may ask us for access to your data, for correction or erasure, for restriction of processing, and for portability. Where we rely on legitimate interest you may object to the processing. You may also complain to a supervisory authority; in Germany that is the authority for the state in which you live or work.
Changes to this policy.
We update this document when the site changes. It is currently a working draft pending legal review, and it will be revised as soon as a contact form or any external service is added.
